Hello,
We have been hard at work in the studio all week and have written three brand new songs which are all sounding good and will be sounding even better this time next week after we've spent another week in the studio - this time in Brighton (Yay!). After all the travelling I've been doing it's been nice to be able to sleep in my own bed every night!
Our Italian trip was amazing, Rome was amazing - it's the oldest looking city I've ever seen, huge chunks of ancient walls come out the sides of fairly new buildings, but even the newest building's look really old! It gave the impression of an "unfinished city" but was glorious. We ended up playing two shows, Rome Zoo bar and Ancona lazaretto to around about 1000 people which, considering we've never been to Italy before and the label have put zero funds into promoting the album abroad, is a real acheivement.
Ancona was alot of fun too and considering I'd never even heard of it, it was really gratifying to play a show arranged within two weeks and to arrive to see our names on the front page of the local press and to be signing copies of the European edition of the album before the gig that people had ordered on faith alone and had waited patiently for delivery of from their local Indie stores.
We all enjoyed some fine Italian feasts with some gorgeous sea views thanks to the hospitality of our wonderful agent/promoter Eric (thank you Eric) and are trying to schedule a return to Italy to do four dates in October. The word IS spreading.
DJ set at the pressure point:
We have decided to postpone the dj ing at the pressure point to a night (TBC) where there are fewer bands on the bill and bands that we actually like - the idea is to do a "let's kill the others" style club night. I am going to be sorting this out in the next few weeks and I will post on here as soon as anything is conformed.... Sorry if anyone was particularly looking forward to it but trust me - it's better this way.
Cheers
Johnny

LATEST NEWS>>>Mylo, Jeff Mills, DJ Format, Vitalic (Live) Whitey (Live) Four Tet (Live) James Lavelle & Trevor Jackson all confirm for TDK Cross Central........
--------------Eclecticism is a word bandied around music events far too regularly these days but TDK can hold their heads high, certain in the knowledge that Cross Central has one of the most forward thinking and varied selection of performers in the country.
With less than three months to go, TDK continue to add to their groundbreaking and stunning line up with more world class acts and cutting edge performers. Having confirmed that the Saturday headline act will be none other than pop alchemists Goldfrapp, TDK are delighted to announce more indisputable talents in Mylo, Jeff Mills, DJ Format, Vitalic (Live) Four Tet (Live) Whitey (Live) James Lavelle and Trevor Jackson.
As if you didn’t already have a reason to go, these additions prove yet again that TDK are investing in talent old and new. First up, the somewhat ubiquitous Mylo has confirmed his attendance having earned it with his unprecedented and overwhelming success in 2005. With a sound characterised by sophisticated electro stabs, classy breaks and fat bottomed bass lines it is remarkable to learn that most of Mylo's production tools are computer internal. His music is rich, varied and well balanced and sounds as if it has had an army of engineers assisting him. Mylo will headline the XFM Stage on Sunday alongside Tiefschwarz, Glimmer Twins, Vitalic (Live) Mocky (Live) XLover (Live) and host James Hyman from XFM.
We are also shout-aloud proud to announce that Detroit born, Jeff Mills will be playing an exclusive and rare 4hr set in the intimate surroundings of The Cross. Not many DJs can boast such pedigree but Mills, after leaving Underground Resistance and establishing his own label, AXIS in Chicago, is a legend among a generation of dance fans.
As one of the most talented and popular DJs in world, Mills is known for playing 30 to 50 disks within an hour - truly a unique DJ style. The theory behind it being that he tries his best to get the cream of every record and only play the part he feels are the best of each tune. You can catch Jeff Mills on the Sunday (28th August) in the legendary venue The Cross.
Pushing forward in 2005 further additions to the line-up are......
